So, you’ve made a world, but then you wonder: “what determines what the world looks like?” What determines the world is called a seed. It is a series of numbers (letters are turned into numbers). In Java edition, you can also choose for options like amplified, flat, or super flat. Since it tells how the world is generated, it includes structures.

SEED GLITCHES

Of course, seeds aren’t perfect. here are some examples of it generating wrong.

  • Repeated Seeds: A part of terrain goes on forever.
  • Structures Generating inside of each other: This is more numerous than repeating seeds and can make for some interesting or very glitchy results!
  • The Far lands: Sometimes known as “The edge of the world”, it looks like a wall. It’s more than 2 million blocks away. It is when the noise generators overflow. It was patched out in Minecraft version 1.8 in Java edition, but it started happening when infinite world generation was added. It occurred in every seed.

Some examples of amazing terrain generation!
