A picture of the Edge Far Lands

The Far Lands happen when the noise generators overflow. It happens at X or Z coordinates 12,550,821 or -12,550,821. Different things will happen depending on whether it’s the X or Z axis and whether it’s negative or positive. It happened ever since not-so- infinite terrain generation was introduced. To some people in the Minecraft community, the Far Lands were the early world border.

If you dare to go further, you will reach the farther Lands. It’s glitchier, and there’s a noticeable jitter. You will fall through solid blocks if you align yourself right. At one point, all blocks will stop generating in some places. You can only go further if you teleport.

If you go even further, you will experience a jitter so bad you can’t really focus. You are in the Farthest Lands. There are no clouds. They have stopped generating. your game will most likely crash, but don’t worry-there’s nothing to see anyways. Just nothing. Nothing will generate.

If you use the Cubic Chunks mod, like AntVenom did, just delete a line of code and you have the void and sky Far Lands. These happen for the same reason as all the other far lands, but on the Y axis.
